Procedures for Honoring a Valiant Woman
Each unit is urged to honor at least one Valiant Woman every year.
Local Units - $50.00

How to select an individual to receive the Valiant Woman
Look around your unit and find a woman who has given service to CWU, her own church, and her community for an extended period of time. She does not have to always be a leader, but can be someone who leads in a quiet way through her example. Find an individual who lives the Gospel message in her everyday life.
Church Women United Recognition of Valiant Women at ALL levels--local, state, regional, and national--is encouraged!
- The recognition of a Valiant Woman may be originated by an individual or by a unit. Persons interested in honoring an individual should contact the unit to initiate the process.
- The unit should send typed biographical information about the honoree including a picture both to the National Office and to the State Secretary so that each state will also have an accurate record of Valiant Women.
- An appropriate certificate and miniature CWU logo pin will be sent to the unit upon receipt of the fee and necessary information.
- Units should send the completed requests and a check made payable to Church Women United one month prior to the date needed to:
